Our primary mission is the safe and efficient transportation of young men and women who are entering military service.
Our customer is the regional Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) located in Glen Jean, WV.
We are looking for qualified drivers to work with an established team.
JOB DUTIES- Three (3) positions available Part 1 - As a driver for GCS, you would be required to drive military applicants from a contract hotel located in Beckley, WV.
to the MEPS Monday through Friday 430am-730am (3 hours) driving one of our 3 vans on site.
Some days we will need all three vans and all three drivers - other days we would need one or two vans and one or two drivers.
We pay the full three hours when you drive even though the job does not take 3 hours.
Part 2 - Driving military applicants from the MEPS to the contract hotel each evening from 4pm-8pm Monday-Thursday (4 hours) utilizing one (1) of our vans.
With guidance from your Regional Manager, you would establish a rotating schedule between the three drivers to provide an equal, or near equal opportunity for hours each pay period.
For instance - one driver drives every morning in one van.
The other two drivers are ready as back-up if more vans are needed.
The next week - the second driver works every morning, and the other two drivers are that person's back-up.
The driver with the least number of hours that week can drive the evening run, and everyone rotates.
WAGES - This is a federal sub-contract, as such, we must pay federal prevailing wages.
The total per hour rate is $21.
80/hr.
Drivers are paid every two weeks via direct deposit as W2 employees.
Paid federal holidays.
401(k).
Paid training.
No other benefits are offered.
JOB REQUIREMENTS-- Driver must hold a valid driver's license.
The driver MUST have a clean driving record verified by a current motor vehicle report which the applicant must provide at the interview.
MUST possess a current DOT physical or be able to pass this physical; pass a pre-employment drug test, random drug tests, and a background check.
Knowledge in smartphone and computer use is a plus.
