Physician (Cardiologist)

The Cardiologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive cardiac services including inpatient and outpatient care as well as, echocardiography and stress echocardiograms.
The incumbent will consult and treat veterans in an outpatient, inpatient, and Emergency Department setting, and perform stress test procedures (nuclear, chemical and routine treadmill) and echocardiography readings,Holter monitor and EKG interpretations, conduct Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams as requested by Veterans Benefit Administration (VBA) and Regional Office.
Provides education and counseling of veterans and families in preventive care, medical conditions, and use of prescribed treatments and drugs.
The physician will establish professional working relationship with clinical service providers within the medical center and the Community Base Outpatient Clinics (CBOCS), providing telephone and curbside consultation as needed and screening consults that are received for appropriateness prior to scheduling.
Staff Cardiologists are ultimately responsible for the oversight of all aspects of cardiac medical care delivered to patients under their care.
During scheduled tour hours, Staff Cardiologists shall be available for all urgent assessments and interventions as part of the inpatient care team.
Tour of Duty:
Monday - Friday, 8:
00AM - 4:
30PM with on-call duties on the weekend, night and holiday coverage, as necessary.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
